Since, numerous national and international rugby and football teams
have honoured us with their presence, notably the French Football team
and the World Champions, Italy in 2006.
Epicureanism and simplicity remain the values of
reference for the Château de la Tour with the motto: 'Come and stay:
you will leave delighted!'
This elegant Anglo-Norman building, nick-named the 'Chalet', was
built at the beginning of the last century by a famous family of
Parisian bankers wanting to enjoy the charm and calm of this green
island near the capital.
Requisitioned during the Second World war, the property is transformed
into a hotel/restaurant in 1946. During the 4th Republic, the Château
de la Tour became the favourite meeting place of rich and famous
Parisians. It is in this warm atmosphere that Edith Piaf, Tino Rossi,
Jean Gabin, etc. loved to meet their friends. In 1972, Jeanne and
Roland Jadas acquired the place which re-opened in 1974 after many
months of refurbishment.
In 1990, at the initiative of François Jadas, 26 bedrooms are added to
the existing 15, seminar and reception rooms, a swimming pool and
well-being facilities complete these renovations.
Today, while remaining particularly loyal to its own clientele and its
friends, our establishment welcomes all types of private and
professional clients and remains a place treasured by high level
sportsmen: in 1998 the Château de la Tour welcomed the teams from Italy
and Croatia for the Football World Cup.
